The benefits of learning
Want to learn the flute?
Welcome to Melbourne Flute Masters (MFM), a boutique flute teaching studio in Melbourne’s south-east. We have a holistic approach to music education and believe that everyone can learn music, given the right environment, and the right teacher (wink!).
We foster a joyful learning experience, by identifying individual learning styles and interests, focusing on small steps of excellence, and celebrating successes big and small. All this combined helps build not only good flute players but inner mastery qualities of patience, persistence and self-esteem that help students now and for the future.

Why choose Melbourne Flute Masters?
Everyone has mastery inside.
Everyone has the ability to master a skill. We believe that learning music is a vehicle for personal development. A skill-based activity (like learning a musical instrument) which requires many hours of practice develops lifelong qualities such as perseverance, discipline and teamwork.
Mastery is every small step, played excellently.
Mastery is a journey, not a destination. Excellence is not the end result, it’s doing your best every step of the way. Students are encouraged to play beautifully at every level of development, from the youngest beginners to the most experienced players.
Mastery is a team effort.
Learning a musical instrument is truly a team effort! No one succeeds alone. Our students’ musical and personal growth is all built by the combined efforts of the teacher, parents, fellow students and musicians. Be part of a flute family that supports, encourages and learns from each other.

Thank you so much for all the effort and hard work you put in to teach me flute. I’ve learnt So much over the years. I could not have done VCE music without you. Thanks so much for all the support and putting up with my stubbornness. Not only did I learn so much flute wise, but I thoroughly enjoyed all our lessons.
Thanks so much for everything. Anna xx

Hey Nat, got my results this morning for VCE Music Solo Performance! I got an A+ for my performance and for my SACS, and an A for the written exam. So I ended up with a study score of 43! I’m stoked! I’m so proud of what we achieved!
Thank you for everything Nat! 😀 xxxxx
